The DeSales Biology major is a great degree for careers in healthcare, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical research, forensics, education, environmental science, and more.

Interested in Medical School? You'll be carefully advised through all of the  prerequisite courses necessary to prepare for the medical college admission test (MCAT).

If you begin as a freshman, you can typically take the MCAT following your junior year.

Our biology program includes coursework required by most professional —MD, DO, DVM, DMD, etc. — and graduate schools — Masters or PhD.

Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Forensic Concentration

The forensic concentration combines the strengths of DeSales’ biology and criminal justice programs. Centered in biology, our program is interdisciplinary with courses in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, psychology, and law enforcement. This well-balanced combination of studies provides graduates with numerous career and graduate education opportunities.
